To develop a multiple award-winning four-bedroom house that is smart, luxurious, and contemporary with interior spaces that support the domestic lifestyle of an elderly couple and adorned with a large irresistible yard, three elements were indispensable: accessibility, water and vegetation, and smart technology.
For a client who loves art, a prominent design theme throughout the conceptualization of both planar surfaces and volumetric space was to seamlessly carve in artistic features as a strategy to not only limit the celebration and expression of art to merely sculpture and paintings but to the deeper layer of space production. Vertical surfaces and ceilings are composed to be inherently art, as well as some built-in furniture.
